Speech and Language Screeners
Monarch Speech and Language Institute offers professional speech and language screeners for schools, daycares, churches, and community organizations in Tulsa, Ok. Our on-site screenings are conducted by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and are designed to support early identification of speech, language, and social communication concerns in children. By partnering with Tulsa-area educators and community leaders, we help organizations proactively support children’s communication development and determine when a comprehensive speech and language evaluation may be recommended.
What is a Speech and Language Screener?
Speech and language screeners provide a brief and quick overview of a child’s communication development. Conducted by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), screeners help identify whether a child is demonstrating age-appropriate skills in key areas, including:
Receptive and expressive language
Speech sound production and intelligibility
Attention and participation
Social communication and interaction with peers
Screeners are NOT diagnostic evaluations; rather, they serve as an initial step to determine whether a child may benefit from further monitoring or a comprehensive speech and language evaluation. Following the screening, the SLP will provide recommendations and guide caregivers or organizations on next steps if additional support is warranted.
Speech and language screeners are ideal for schools, daycares, churches, and community organizations seeking early identification and proactive support for children’s communication needs.
